Community Outreach

At Westmoreland Christian Academy, it is important for each of us to follow the example that Jesus set for us. One example He set was in the way He served others.

We have a program that will give each student in grades 7 – 12 the opportunity to serve others. This program will require each student to give a minimum of four hours per nine weeks to some type of service in the community. This could involve things such as working at a food bank, serving at a homeless shelter, or doing some kind of mission work.

W.C.A. provides many opportunities throughout the year for students to fulfill their requirements. We schedule things so that all the students can work together while they are serving.

The students are also free to do projects with their church or youth group. There will be a form they will fill out, and it will count toward their required 4 hours of service. After each service project, the students will be required to write a one-page paper about their experience. This program will account for 25% of the student’s Bible grade over the nine weeks. We hope to show the students the importance of giving their time to help others.
